M57N mounts for a RHD TDCI Defender: important turbo notes.
Important: standard M57N 3-bolt turbo does not fit
This mount kit will not work with the standard M57N turbo in its standard location.
When using these bolt-in TDCI mounts with an M57N engine—most commonly the E53 X5 in Australia—you will need to convert to the later M57N2 turbo and exhaust-manifold setup.

Intended combination
- Iron-block M57N engine.
- RHD Defender TDCI chassis.
- Compatible ZF automatic: 6HP26 / 6HP28X / 8HP70X.
- The 2025-version 6/8HP-to-LT230 adapter we stock.

- Engine and gearbox brackets.
- Bolts and fixings.
The mount kit is bolt-in without cutting or welding the original chassis and using original propshaft lengths with the specified combination. That does not remove the turbo and ancillary work above. Mechanical competence is required.
