DOBINSONS

320bs - 440mm Free Height - Linear rate - UP TO 250KG LOAD

Rear D110/130 & Perentie/County

• On a Defender with a med to lightweight set of drawers, and 33" tyre off the back these will provide around 365mm load height (+50mm)
• On a Defender D110 wagon or D130 with a heavier set of drawers and and approx 200-250kg of load these will provide around 340-350mm load height (+20-30mm )
• On a Perentie these will provide around the 365-375mm load height (2" lift from civilian Defender)

• Particularly well suited to our Tough Tourer kit, for people who still daily their rigs, but also like to get out and play on the weekends, or load up and head away on an adventure

• Also suited to those who are considering setting up for 'Comfort Touring" or road driving in conjunction with front and rear swaybars. with heavier loads in conjunction with airbagman helper bags.

165bs - 460mm Free Height - Linear rate

• On a Defender D110 with Bull Bar and Synthetic rope winch these will provide an approx 310mm load height (True 2")

• Made by Dobinsons Springs to our own specs

• (this is based on a vehicle with an approx 1280kg front axle weight)

• This rate is perfect for those who want a linear spring that is long enough to remain inside of the inbuilt dislocation cone when using Superflex arms, and also using 12"+ shocks

• Particularly well suited to our Weekend Warrior kit for this reason, and also the fact that a lower spring rate will also compress better than a shorter stiffer coil offering the equivalent lift.

• This coil is suited to those who want to set their rig up for offroad use, being a softer more supple coil. Running a softer rate up front in combination with a retained rear end will encourage the front end to articulate.

• Also suited to those who are considering setting up for 'Comfort Touring" or road driving in conjunction with front and rear swaybars.

THESE SHOCKS ARE A DIRECT BOLT IN ON YOUR STD SHOCK MOUNTS FOR RRC, DEFENDER, OR D1

• Nitrogen Gas Charged, low pressure gas, reducing reducing oil aeration (cavitation which causes shock fade)
• Japanese NOK Multi-Lip seals, Fuchs German shock absorber oil, Natural Rubber Bushings for reduced noise vibration and flexibility
• Teflon Piston Rings, double Chrome hardened rods, metal shock boot to protect rod from damage

Designed, developed and tested in Australia by Dobinsons Spring & Suspension, in-house suspension design engineers, Dobinsons 4×4 shock absorbers are designed and tested to perform in the harshest conditions right across the world. As Dobinsons Spring & Suspension export to over 40 countries worldwide from their Australian head office, the importance of quality is at the forefront in the complete design and manufacturing process. This ensures every shock can withstand the blistering heat and corrugations of the Australian outback right through to the subzero temperatures of a Russian winter.

These shocks provide a significant increase in performance over the standard shock absorbers. Originally equipped shock absorbers are prone to shock fade and when a vehicle is loaded simply cannot cope with the additional weight and the harsh condition that 4X4 owners love to put them through. Dobinsons twin tube shock absorbers feature larger bodies, larger bores and increased valving performance to dramatically improve vehicle handling and control and reduces shock fade.

ALL OF THESE LONG TRAVEL SHOCKS ARE PIN TO PIN MOUNT AND WILL REQUIRE PIN STYLE REAR SHOCK MOUNTS TO ENABLE YOU TO RUN A PIN TO PIN SHOCK INTHE REAR. (SEE OUR REAR SHOCK MOUNT LISTING IF YOU NEED SOME).
