• 6mm laser cut Aussie steel
• Designed for a 1.5"/38mm mount width shock, with 1/2" bolt
• Our Radflo custom shocks are supplied with a 1.5"/38mm mount width, but a 3/4"/19mm ID rubber bush (we insert crush tubes into the rubber bush to reduce down to 1/2" bolt.
• FOX and KING will require a pin to eye mount adapter for the axle end mount (we can also supply) (different misalignment spacers from those that came with your shocks may be required also see below)
• FOX and KING will need 1.5" mount width spherical bearing w/spacers. (we can source new spacers if needed (if you have your own shocks that are 1.25" mount width)
• If you place an order online without first contacting us - we will contact you within 24hrs to conform your application and height required.
• These mounts are made to order w/3-5week lead time in most cases.

Suitable for use when upgrading to a HD Track rod on  RRC or  Disco 1, where the factory steering dampener is welded to sorry excuse of a track rod

• 6mm Steel Plate
• Stainless steel M8 U-bolts

Used for fitting most eye mount shocks to the front of a D2

• Bolt hole is 30mm from centre to bottom of the mount surface
• 12mm bolt hole
• 44mm mount width
• Comes with ONE pair of crush tubes to do the axle end mount

Perfect for Defenders/Perenties undergoing the Disco 1 Drag Link conversion, and Also Discovery 1 relocating the steering damper from the track rod to the drag link up front

Extra HD TOW/RECOVERY Points - MULTI FIT (Defender-Disco1-Disco2)

These Extra HD units are made with a whopping 16mm 350mPa grade CNC Plasma cut Aussie steel plate, that’s thicker than anything else on the market available for your Land Rover – Period!

We only recommend you install these items with NEW M12 - 12.9 Grade zinc plated bolts and nyloc nuts, AS WELL as installing the optional crush tubes into the upper chassis mount hole used by these brackets IF YOU PLAN ON DOING SNATCH RECOVERYS

If there is not a hole already and your bullbar does not also use this hole - you may not have a hole there at all! From the factory this upper hole was not present in Defenders.

We now offer custom made crush tubes than have been machined from 1” solid round steel to install into the upper bolt hole mount for those who plan to do snatch recoveries with these. We also recommend installing the 3^rd M12 bolt for good measure.

Installation of these optional crush tubs is fairly simple and only requires a 1” bi-metal hole saw, a welder, and a grinder.

ALWAYS use a bridle and BOTH mounts AND a rope dampener blanket when performing a recovery from the front end. Recovery’s can be fatal if not carried out correctly.

Please leave us a note at checkout if you have selected Powdercoated, with your colour choice. This will add up to approx 10-20 business days to your order to have them coated. Alternately we will send out BLACK powdercoated by default if you do not specify colour.

 

HD Steering Dampener Bracket

Suitable for use when converting your Defender, RRC or Perentie to a Disco 1 pitman arm & draglink setup.

Can also be used when relocating your D1 steering dampener from the track rod to the Drag link get get it up and out of harms way when offroading

They are suitable for use:

• In your 10 spline County or Perentie - to convert to the stronger 24 spline. This is common to do when fitting a locker or an LSD to the front of these trucks.

• When you upgrade your Discovery 1,  RRC, or Defender to either Ashcroft or County CVs which have a stronger 23spline female spline over the standard 32spline. (You will need an additional conversion kit to run the County C.Vs. Ask us for more information if your interested in this option, as it is cheaper than going all out and getting Ashcrofts to run with this axle  & flange kit. See notes below in regards to converting a post 93-94 rig

INTERESTING FACTOIDS:

• 32 CV end spline shaft cross section is 542mm sq.
