DEFAB Sealed Airbox Kit for Defender M57 & LS Conversions
An Australian-made sealed airbox system for Land Rover Defender M57 conversions, also suitable for LS Defender conversion applications. Built from 2.5mm powder-coated aluminium, with a pre-fitted washable Dryflow filter and mounting brackets.
Intake layout and fitment
- 88mm / 3.5-inch airflow path to the BMW MAF sensor on the M57 arrangement.
- Designed to work with side-entry plastic snorkels, or directly with a DEFAB snorkel.
- Dryflow lifetime washable filter — no oiling required.
- Duckbill drain valve to allow water to escape if ingress occurs.
Conversion layouts differ. For an LS installation or a non-standard snorkel, MAF or intake arrangement, contact KINGPIN to confirm the connections and fitment before ordering.
Kit contents
- Airbox, pre-assembled with Dryflow filter and CNC-cut/folded mounting brackets.
- Two 3.5-inch flexible hoses for plumbing to existing side-entry plastic snorkels.
- Side-entry plastic-snorkel adapter for the supplied 3.5-inch plumbing.
- Stainless hose clamps.
- BMW MAF-to-3.5-inch silicone ducting adapter.

Important: water-ingress protection
Fitting a sealed airbox does not automatically make a vehicle safe for water crossings. Proper installation is essential. Check that the complete airbox and snorkel system is actually sealed after fitting.
